Baltal Valley   

Baltal valley is one of the best places to go camping and have the best time photographing. This place is located 15 km away from the North of Sonamarg, and you can go by caravan. Baltal welcomes you with outstanding nature views with glaciers, snow-capped mountains, and a soothingly flowing Sindh River. Baltal valley is well known for camping, especially for people who want to visit Amarnath. If you are on your caravan ride, this can be the best place to have an evening break at the back of Sindh River and blend with the nature. 

Nilagrad river   

Nilagrad river is located 5 km from Sonamarg and will surprise you with its gushing water and beautiful crystal-clear water. Nilagrad is red, and people believe the river has medicinal properties, and a dip in the river can cure illness. The banks of Nilagrad are a popular picnic spot you can enjoy with your caravan amidst nature without worrying about the world.   

Gangabal Lake  

You cannot complete the visit to Sonamarg without stepping into the enthralling view of Gangabal Lake. This is one of the best sightseeing spots in Sonamarg, with its natural springs and glaciers.

Trekking

Visiting Zojila Pass  

Passing through Zojila Pass is one thing you should not miss while in Sonamarg. The pass is located at Indian National highway 1D with an altitude of 3528m above sea level. It is advised to pass through this place with an experienced driver as some parts of the place can be dangerous to drive.
