Visit Jakhu Temple

Jakhu Temple is one of the most popular temples in Shimla. It is located on a hilltop, overlooking Shimla city and offers a panoramic view of its surroundings. The temple was established by Raja Ranjit Singh in 1834 with money he gained from fighting against British forces who had invaded Punjab.

Trek to the Chadwick Falls

The Chadwick Falls is a beautiful waterfall in Shimla that’s worth visiting. It’s located on the Kangra River and can be reached by taking a short walk from the main road. After you reach the waterfall, you will find yourself surrounded by lush greenery and views of the mountains around you. 

Go camping

Camping is a great way to experience Shimla. There are many places around the city that offer camping facilities, including forested areas and lakes. If you’re looking for a more secluded spot, try visiting one of the many small towns in the Shimla district such as Talwara or Chamba where there are no roads or houses nearby. 

The best time to go camping is between mid-September through November when temperatures stay low but not too cold (15 degrees Celsius). If possible, bring warm clothing like sweaters or coats since it can get pretty chilly at night when temperatures fall below 10 Celsius!  

The Mini-Wanderlust has all the camping equipments, and if you do not wish to camp outside in the cold, the campervan is well-equipped with heater to keep you warm.

Visit Shimla State Museum

The Shimla State Museum is located near the Ridge and has a collection of ancient relics and artifacts. It is a great place to learn about the history of Shimla, as well as its flora and fauna.

Shop at the Mall Road

Mall Road is an ideal place to buy gifts, souvenirs, and clothes. There are numerous shops where you can find your favorite brand of shoes or watch. You can also purchase jewelry or electronics like cameras or mobile phones at the mall road. 

If you are looking for toys then this will be your best option as there are many toy shops in Shimla that sell various types of toys such as dolls, cars etc.

Trek to the Shali Tibba Temple

If you’re looking for a short hike, the Shali Tibba Temple is a great option. It’s just over an hour away from Shimla, but it offers some beautiful views of the city and its surrounding areas. The temple sits at an elevation of 3,000 feet above sea level—meaning there are some great panoramas during sunset! 

Skiing in Shimla 

Skiing is a winter sport that involves sliding down a snow-covered slope on skis. In Shimla, the best place to ski is at Nahan in Himachal Pradesh. The base station of this ski resort is about 45 km away from Shimla city, so you will need to plan ahead if you want to go here for fun during your stay in Shimla!
